Our process of evaluation deals is thorough, and is designed that way to identify and support disruptive innovations. We invest in people as much as we back solutions. The list below is to help founders, at the barest minimum, decide if we are aligned.

This is a summary litmus test on how we select our ventures. Our hearts beat for social impact as much as we get excited about profits. If you can do both while improving the livelihood/well-being of underserved communities, we would love to talk to you. If you don't meet every single criteria below, but believe you have a great solution and can benefit from our support in growing your venture and generating immense social value, please still reach out. 

Founding/ Leadership Team DNA

  • At least one BIPOC founder

  • Gender parity at Executive & Advisory Board levels

  • Lived experience of the problem being addressed

  • Unique understanding of the market/local context

  • Strong focus on social impact

Business

  • B2B, B2C enterprises operating for at least 2years

  • In-depth market research on customer discovery

  • MVP + paying customers

  • Proof of impact or value-add to the ecosystem 

  • A clear roadmap to scaling

  • Evidence or ability to make profit

Market

  • Strong evidence of the existence of the social cause being addressed

  • At least $100M of Total Addressable Market

  • Strategically positioned to capture at least 10% of market share within 3 to 5 years

Impact

  • Proof or competitive ability to create immense social value in underserved communities while profitable, in any of our 7-thematic areas

  • Proof of driving environmental and governance sustainability
